On one hand, inverter changes the DC voltage into AC
voltage. On the other hand, UPS provides uninterruptible power supply to the
equipment by switching to the back-up source of power. This indicates that only
a laptop or computer requires a UPS system when there is a power failure. This
problem is anyways solved by the built-in batteries of these devices. So now do
you need a UPS or not? Obviously, UPS is required as, even if the laptop is
running when there is a blackout, but for the consistent internet connection,
modem and router is necessary which will run by means of a UPS system. Hence,
both the inverter and UPS are of prime importance at homes and in offices. One
option that can be opted for by the users is to get the digital home UPS that is a smart combination of an inverter and UPS
and performs the jobs of both the devices in a superior manner. Otherwise, you
need to get both of them separately.
First type of inverter available is the modified sine wave
inverters. These produce a square wave AC output that is not the finest one to
power the appliances for the reason that the appliances are engineered to run
on the sine wave AC output. But you would be able to run the regular household
appliances with this inverter type. If you want to run your appliances the
great way, then you need to switch to the other type of inverter, that is, the
sine wave inverter, also called as pure sine wave inverter provided by the inverter manufacturers in India. It
powers the appliances without producing any humming sound in an efficient
manner similar to as they are powered by the power obtained from the
electricity grid. Moreover, even the most sensitive equipments can also run on
this power solution.
